La Zopilota
For Neri Flores, owner of La Zopilota, sharing the authentic flavors of Mexican food is a family affair. Since 2018, La Zopilota has been serving up everything from tacos, tortas, loaded papas, quesadillas, and burritos to catered Mexican-style plates, with favorites like brisket, barbacoa, chile verde, and asada bringing plenty of flavor to the table.
Their journey hasn't always been easy. La Zopilota opened shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, and like so many small businesses, the family wasn't sure what the future would hold. But by working together, they made it through—and what began with Neri's desire to share her family's flavors with the community has grown into a local favorite.
Today, La Zopilota is a fan favorite at Horseshoe events, serving guests from across the Permian Basin and beyond. For Neri and her family, one of the most rewarding parts is introducing people from different backgrounds to the authentic tastes of Mexican food—and seeing them come back for more.

Cafe Venture
For West Texas natives Mickey Rogers and Daniel Stanton, great food has always been about taking care of people.
Their story with Cafe Venture began in 2007, when the Texas Tech graduates led a group that purchased seven Fuddruckers restaurants and brought the company’s home office to Lubbock. Since then, they’ve expanded throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, becoming the largest Fuddruckers franchisee in the country—and turning catering into a major part of what they do.
Today, Cafe Venture Catering brings that same experience and hospitality to life’s big moments. From The World’s Greatest Hamburgers® and fresh produce bars to Mexican food, slow-smoked BBQ, and gourmet hors d’oeuvres, every menu is tailored to the occasion. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, fundraiser, or private celebration, their motto says it all: “Any Food, Any Time, Any Place.”
For Mickey and Daniel, the best part of being an Approved Vendor at the Midland County Horseshoe is simple: the people.
